The beginning of New Year is always a great opportunity to start fresh and try new things. That goes for your business too! Try one of these exciting ways to increase traffic to your website.






1. Add new multimedia elements.

Adding new pictures, videos, or graphics are a quick and easy way to make sure your website looks great! There are so many cheap and easy ways to do this.

Wander around your business with a camera. Take photos of your products, employees, or your work space.

2. Update your "About Us" section.

Many business owners set this section of their site up early on and never touch it again. But often potential customers check this section early on.

Reread it. Does the description of your business still match your vision? Have there been changes to personnel? Has your business received any honors or awards?

You want this section of your site to connect and resonate with your users. Try to approach it from the mindset of a customer. What would they want to know about you or your company?


3. Link your website your your social media (and the social media to your website).

Many people are active users of social media. Odds are you have already created at least one social media account to reach your users. But do you encourage users to reach out across different platforms? Does your Facebook account ever reference your Twitter? Encourage people to like and subscribe to your business on a variety of platforms.


4. Start a newsletter.

What does your business do to make sure users are regularly thinking about you? How do you communicate about special sales, events, and holidays? An easy way to do this might be a newsletter or email list. While many younger demographics can easily be reached on social media, there are some groups that either shy away from social media or are not strong enough users to access your content. Emails tend to be an easy way to get around that.


5. Add a specially designed interactive activity.

Interactive activities covers a wide variety of options. Basically anything that requires user interaction qualifies. This could be things like:

- games

These should be things that encourage users to come back to your site. If it's done really well, it might get users talking about your website, and therefore your business.
