Digital Notebook for Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

Rick Riordan books are a great way to get reluctant readers on board! Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is the first of many books by this fabulous author. I find that it is a great one for my lower level readers to start with.

I used to do my readers notebook inside a composition notebook, but my students seem to struggle to keep track of it. I've been testing out the idea of a digital notebook with some of my classes. I'm happy to announce that the first one is available to share!

Using these google docs based document, you can quickly and easily send out worksheets to your students. They are formatted so students CAN'T ACCIDENTALLY DELETE THE DIRECTIONS! There are text boxes for student responses are already in place!

Each chapter includes possible trouble vocabulary and a space for students to write 2-3 sentence summaries. Several chapters include extra activities and resources for learners.

I like regular check-ins on student progress, so I broke it into three different parts so that I will know long before we reach the end of the novel if students are keeping up on their assignments.
